November 2011

Yes, I realize that this is a year ago, but I am trying to update this blog.  I know it's a little silly to go back so far, but the family is using it as a kind of journal and I don't want to miss out on too much.  So, I'm going to mainly add pictures for our viewing pleasure, so feel free to ignore, delete, or otherwise in regards to the blog.

Every Wednesday at Rosslyn Academy the girls have Chapel.  Emma was on stage helping the students with the hand motions to a song!

A photo of her with a horse...obviously.  Also at Paradise Lost

Phoebe at her Christmas Program at Creche, the Pre-School she and Greta attend

Greta at her Christmas Program
Wonder who is correct...should Greta be standing or going LOW?

Mattie's Birthday party.  We had a scavenger hunt at the house

Shawn's birthday party.  We did not have a scavenger hunt and the poor thing had recycled cake this year.  Never again though.  I felt too bad.

The following photos are of Mattie at the All-School Talent show.  The girls had to try out and I am very proud to say both Mattie and Emma made it.  Mattie organized a song and dance with other girls in the 3rd grade to "Wavin' Flag" by K'naan.  Her group did great and won an award!  Mattie also sang a solo and I was told that she danced and performed really well...for a white girl.  That's a direct quote too.

Emma was amazing and got on stage by herself in front of about 300 people doing a dog training routine with Vesta and the song "Who Let the Dogs Out."  She did amazing.  Unfortunately we do not have photos, only a video of this as I was with Emma and the dog back stage and Shawn was manning the camera and video camera.  Apparently he can only do one at a time and watch Phoebe and Greta.  What a wimp.  Any mom worth her salt could have done all that and hand out snacks.  But alas, he's a dad and did a fantastic job with the video.

That's it for November 2011.  Only 12 more months to go.  I can do this, I know I can!
